The problem with folding chairs
Curve the legs
A simple folding mechanism that is effective and intuitive.
However, it is an outdated form that is not inviting or comfortable due to its sharp angles and insufficient support.
Comfortable
The new silhouette of the chair creates a wider, spacious chair with a deep.
High Quality
Well proportioned curves tell the user that the piece was well crafted and not made of sticks.
Secure
The low and wide seat creates a safe and comfortable experience, far away from any moving parts or hardware.

Final Model Improvements
The storage/ergonomics tradeoff.
Uncomfortable
Flat, hard seats and backs lack padding, making them painful for long sitting, not enough support
Cheap appearance
Thin metal, plastic, and synthetic fabrics make them look temporary and unattractive.
Unsafe
Hinges and joints create pinch points, and too many moving parts make the chair fragile or hard to fold.
They don’t belong in homes. Yet.
